A room covered with exquisite panels and the walls covered with Iznik tiles… The panels are embellished with various floral motifs… The room seems like a blue heaven because of the sun light reflecting from the turquoise tiles… The sunlight gets into the room from the arched roof…The woodwork canopy on the left side which is embossed with gold gilded lights up gently …
II. Selim’s legendary love Nurbanu, straightens out slowly from her plume bed and smiles… This Venetian beauty with a lily-like face is trying to opens her eyes and figure out her dream if it is real or not… Her chests moves in and out with excitement every time she breaths … her face lines are calm and peaceful… She could not have decided to the location of the mosque that she wanted to be built till tonight … Her mind tends to the white-bearded old man she has dreamed … She is trying to learn that mysterious phrase by her heart… “Swing your yashmak to the wind from the Besiktas pier and build your temple wherever the wind drops it” …
Year 1570 … Emerald-eyed Sultan listens to her dream and swings her yashmak … And the wind moves it to the Toptasi hill … As Valide Sultan goes by … Sinan the architect of all ages, starts building elegant domes on the hill…
